About Me

I live in South Yorkshire in the UK and I’m fortunate to have a very supportive wife, Ande. We have four children, ten nieces and one nephew so you might imagine that story-telling, ie; scaring the little darlings, has always been a favourite pastime.
I've been writing and studying the craft for many years and have recently, by popular demand, turned my attentions full time to writing and working with fellow writers on their manuscripts (see testimonials) as well as working on my current project; Kimi’s Secret, a children's fantasy (no dragons or wizards - promise!)
My favoured authors are King, Koontz, Dahl, Kress, Swain and Blyton and I have fond memories of the wonderful Mr Pinkwhistle.
Hobbies include; exploring nature, sketching, poetry and poker.
I'm an active member of the Bookshed, Youwriteon, and Authonomy websites, having won a number of professional critiques.
I have recently won a Children's Book of the Year Award at Youwriteon. I am very pleased and excited at what this may bring. I have also had a really pleasing article in my local paper, South Yorkshire Times.
